Help with My Documents

Junior Member
Whenever I download new drivers, I save them in "My Documents". I can open my documents and they are all there, however, when I go to update driver and show the path to My Documents all that is shown is the "My Pictures & My Music" folders. I have the same problem with trying to import Database stored there to another program. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Are you unpacking/unzipping/whatever the downloads? I sounds like windows is looking for the .inf file and it doesn't exist in My Documents, everything else thats not a subdir is filtered out. When you open My Documents, do you see any .inf files listed?

I do not see any inf file there. I can open any of the documents in My Documents, I just cannot import them from another program. When I go to: Look In>My Documents only My Music & My Pictures show.

Sounds like bsobel was spot on.
If you are looking in My Documents with Explorer for example, and there are no .inf files listed, that means the drivers you have are not ready to be installed. Do you see the drivers you downloaded from Explorer? If you do, you should find that they are either .exe or .zip files. If they are .exe, running the program should install the drivers automatically for you. Or they might just create the drivers somewhere else, take note of what the program tells you when you run it.
If they are in a .zip file, get yourself Winzip from www.winzip.com and use it to create the drivers.
