How do I solve this dilema?:
I have to crank up the volume in Windows to max, Windows Media Player Classis to max and moderately turn up the volume knob on my speakers just to get good audio in some movies.
When I do this any other noise such as Windows noise will be extremely loud.
This only happens in some movies such as Hero, BattleStar Galactica... It is really annoying as any aim messages with sound or some Windows bong will be frightening.

I tried tinkering with MMPC, but it just doesn't sound right with the boost.
 
I bought Hero and Battlestar galactica. I absolutely love Battlestar Galactica so it wasn't a hard choice to choose brand new copies of those!
Plus everyone knows OT is where everybody goes!
