Is there a better way to do subscripts and superscripts? I'm real lazy and having to go up to the Format menu -> Fonts and checking subscript and superscript is REALLY annoying me. isn't there some sort of keystroke? I would ask clippy, but i didn't install him and somehow I really doubt he'd be much use :)

I have a question too:

I have to revise a paper that I wrote months ago. Well, I put a page break in then - so how do I get it out now?

Superscript: <CTRL><SHIFT><+/=>
Subscript: <CTRL><+/=>

Repeat the command to switch back to normal.

Toolgirl

Simply backspace over it.

Links the cat told me:

vapor22:
ctrl = --> subscript
ctrl + --> superscript

toolgirl:
tools -> option -> view -> formatting marks -> all
it will show you where the page breaks are, and you can delete them from there...

i don't like clippy .... his eyes are so irritating...

Either I'm blind or I can't do it that way. :(
Viper - backspacing over it doesn't work either.

Strange that you can't backspace over it, I've never had any trouble doing that. Have you tried putting a new one in & seeing if you can backspace over that?

:confused:

i just tried it again, and seems like it's working on my machine

page break will look like this:
.....................page break...........................

section break will look like this:
=============section break (next page)================

if you can see them, you're not blind :)

in any case, try putting your cursor at the beginning of the line, and use delete instead of viper's backspace method ... see if it works....

<< tools -> option -> view -> formatting marks -> all >>

what i mean is under the "view" tab, there's a section "formatting marks", and you need to check "all" to see the breaks, etc...
