Help with MS update.

When i try to do a MS update i get this message, why is this and how to fix it.

well, first have you talked to your system administrator?


second, how are you trying to update? if you are trying to go in start -> Windows Update, try to go to the MS website and update from there.

I have no Admin. this is my Desktop at home, and i have tryed to go to MS websight and it wont work from there either...

hmm, myabe do a quick reinstal of win98se that might solve the problem.

Go to Microsoft's Corporate upgrade site...

http://corporate.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp

You'll be able to download the software components you need - it won't perform a system scan like the normal end user's Windows Upgade site does, which is where you're system is being rejected.


BTW... do you have a DELL or GATEWAY system?
