Help with monitor and win2k?

I can't get win2k to display anything except for the default monitor setting. Win98 displays it correctly. I have an elsa erazor x card and a mitsubishi diamond pro 900u. Does anyone know why win2k won't recognize my monitor?

download the driver, unzip it. got to display properties: settings: advanced: monitor: properties: update driver: choose the bottom choice that lets you list and choose the driver: choose the .inf file that you downloaded and pick your monitor.

had to do the same on mine.

The properties button isn't lit up. It won't let me update the driver. Anyone know why the properties button isn't lit up?

geez.. i dont know. i am new to w2k. are you logged in as the administrator? i know that when i am logged in as a "user", i cant perform certain things. hopefully somebody will know.

Thanks for your help youseelabruin. I think that I am logged in as an administrator. It worked when I first installed win2k but after that it was a no go and it went back to the default monitor. All that I can do is change the refresh rate. I am also using a BNC cable. Could that be the source of the problem?
