Hello, I have Mechwarrior 4 and can not get the stupid thing to run, at all. I have run several installs of it, all with the same result. What happens is that the first time I run it I get a message saying that I am out of memory. and it shows usage, and of course the memory usage is no where near 100% in fact it is roughy 17%. My system then locks up completely forcing an ugly reboot. From there on out every time I attempt to run Mechwarrior it simply locks my system up entirely.

I have tried installing the updates from MS but they have not yet worked.

Physically I am running PIII 933Mhz, 256Mb ECC Crucial, ATI Raden 64Mb, IBM Generic sound card, Matrox HD. etc...

At current there are no problems with my PC, simply problems with this program. Thanks for any assistance.
 
I am running win98.

btw anyone know the product id from microsoft for this game. I ahve tried finding it so I could get some ms help and I got no where... it is not listed.
