HELP with MAX PAYNE PLEZ!!!

Hey guys,
jus installed max payne n the cd gave a crc error on the file "x_music.ras",i jus clicked ignore..now the game starts up n i can go till the menu,but once i click on new game...the game gives the loadin screen n quits to the desktop..any idea how i can workaround the files??
plzzzzz help,coz i really wanna play this game!!

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling. Is this a retail CD or Warez?

its warez..but the sad part is..this is the 3rd CD i've got..n each time there is a problem with atleast 1 file on the dam CD!!!
i've installed the no cd patch,btw..

Just buy the retail copy. If it doesn't wok then, maybe we can help you. With warez, it's probably the cd. Besides, I wouldn't go around talking about warez. Those mods have itchy trigger fingers you know.

One would think so, but some people don't realize that you shouldn't discuss your illegal activities in a moderated forum. Not illegal to discuss them, but not very smart if you desire to stick around for very long.

beg at ur channel for downloading illegal files for x_music.ras and then correct the image and re-burn...shame that u dont wanna buy a classic and a very entertaining game like max payne. u can get the game for around 30-35 dollars at a lot of places. it is money well spent.

Max Payne actually has some copy protection built in which corrupts files like that. If the person who ripped it was dumb, they probably just did a straight copy to an image file. I bought the retail version, and figured out how to copy it myself, but I'm not going to help pirates.
