Help with mapping RAM addresses

Yeah, unfortunately I already tried all of those legacy versions, and they didn't work with > 4GB of RAM. Remember, the issue isn't Windows 7 compatibility so much as it is with compatibility with memory > 4GB.
 
Ok. I think VL may have had the final word in this one . Being that the chipset is unable to handle more than 4 GB of RAM, despite what the spec sheet says.

Thanks. One of the possible fixes that's been discussed in this discussion is a BIOS update. One of the reasons I revived this discussion was to see if anyone had updated the BIOS and, if so, what the outcome was.

This thread leads me to believe that a BIOS update could fix the issue:

I'm hesitant to try updating the BIOS myself for fear of bricking the computer.
