Help with lost product key

My wife cleaned out my computer room a couple of months ago, and as I went to install my Office 2000 onto my Millenium partition, I realized she threw out all my software boxes!!! I remember hearing somewhere that all product keys are somewhere in the registry, so I did a search but I found all kinds of stuff. Can anyone tell me what registry key I need to be looking in?

Thanks,

TheCableGuy

Best solution, call Microsoft customer service (and the customer service departments of the other vendors that require product numbers, too). If you have any form of proof of ownership / registration of the products, they'll send you the numbers. The "2000" Office and Windows versions don't put the product keys into the registry. (Well, not in any form I can read, anyway.)

Regards,
Jim
