Yes
I would look at a software firewall of somekind, or possibly your ISP blocking it, But that doesn't make much sense, Because they can't block every port.

Still doesn't work listening (TCP) with DMZ. I disabled DMZ though. God.....I am such a noob at this. But there is no software firewall I can find. my network isn't even encrypted like it used to be.

Try changing the IP that you set for your self.
IP 192.168.1.250 (shouldnt be used in your network)
Subnet 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.1.1
dns 192.168.1.1

Make sure that these ips are right if your router is 192.168.0.1 then change them to there respective ip's
Such as 192.168.0.250, subnet same, gateway and DNS of 192.168.0.1

as long as it matches your router,
if the router is at 192.168.0.1 then you can make it 192.168.0.x as long as it doesnt conflict with another computer
if its at 192.168.1.1 then you can make it 192.168.1.x also as long as it doesnt conflict with another computer

if it gets to the internet you did it right, now put that same IP in the DMZ and test it again.
The one you just set on that computer

NO FREAKING LUCK! I put the static ip that i changed in there from this PC (downstairs wired), went upstairs to check if the port worked after putting it in the dmz, and nothing.

GOD I AM EITHER RETARDED OR THIS CRAP IS MESSING WITH MY BRAIN!

Jesus lol. Just letting off some steam. disregard comments like this.

Ok, if you have the static IP in the DMZ then either A. there is a firewall on the computer not allowing connections (such as norton, mcaffe, peer guardian, zone alarm...etc....) or B. your ISP is blocking it.

No, the firewall is bypassed by the DMZ, but did you uncheck the "Block Anonymouse internet requests" checkbox? it shout be on the security tab

No, That is the WAN side, dont mess with that because it could stop the internet from working if you change something, If it works on DHCP dont change it

Everything is screwed up. The thing is, it all worked fine on XP 32. Then on vista 32. Then on 2nd install of vista 32 it didnt work. then on vista 64 it doesnt work (as well).

I have a feeling I should erase EVERYTHING and start from scratch.

I hate my life. Lawl.

If I reset my settings in my WRT54GSv4, what will happen? Will everything connect right if I have DHCP on? Everything will still be fine? I am about to erase the static IP I setup also (just erase the settings in the windows xp connections thing).

Yeah, Aslong as there are no special settings for your DSL. BTW what IP does it say your router is getting from the modem? If it says a 192.168 ip then your modem is acting as a router and thats why it isnt working. if the ip your modem is giving your router is anything else then its right, well aslong as its not a 10.x.x.x 172.x.x.x or 192.x.x.x

Should say on the status page or something
