Ok so I have a dinosaur Dell latitude notebook and the screen is artifacting like mad. It just randomly started happening one day while I was at the library. I'm getting this kind of weird color thing going on.
I tested the VGA output on it and it outputs to another monitor without any artifacting. The funny colors appear not only in Win but also in the bios screen.
Yesterday I took the laptop apart, unplugged monitor cable, blew it out with compressed air, and reseated it. Didn't work. I tried jiggling the cable to see if it affected the display, nothing changed. I pulled the whole LCD screen out of the laptop and jiggled that cord, nothing changed. Sometimes when I turn it on, or at random points when it has been on for a while, it will revert to displaying normal colors, but only for a few seconds, it always goes back to being funky. Any idea what is wrong?
