Help with KT7A mouse hour glass wont stop????

I just upgraded from kt7 non raid to KT7A Raid thinking it would be worth it with the extra FSB performace plus the xtra Raid performance. Anyways I have been trying to figure this out with no luck everything works great with raid benchmarks at 33000 but I keep getting the hour glass on mouse every 3 seconds I dont know how to fix this?? tried disabling bunch of stuff no go someone know what to do Thanks

I have no Idea?? never did this before I am running a Microsoft serial mouse on com port 1. I have NIC card on ISA slot and Radeon in AGP thats it.

Go to Start > Run > msconfig

In the Startup tab, uncheck all the stuff you don't need.

also alt+ctrl+del to see what's running?
have you checked for a viral aetiology causing this problem?

I got the same thing when I first built my machine. I juggled my pci cards around, cuz I was having an IRQ problem. I then re-installed the operating system, and it went away. I tried just re-installing windows at first, but the flashing hour glass kept coming up even when I first booted up into windows. So try your sound card in slot #3, and don't put any cards in slot #1 (next to your AGP slot.) Good luck, I remember hating that problem.

I have reinstalled 3 times to no no avail I have tried all sugestions here to no avail. I have no pci card running in my system now I pulled out sound card just before i did fresh install. only AGP and ISA slots being used. this hour glass will not do that unless I open something up then it wont stop. Its gotta be some kind of IRQ conflict??

thanks people trouble still not solved but I have found the problem I think when I disable my second IDE controler mouse thing goes away I have my cd drive and plexter on this IDE cd as master plexter as slave?? my cox cable went out for about an hour perfect timing LOL.

Bump any Ideas?? I cant get it. One thing forsure is this mobo screams running at 150 FSB and I can tell the difference from KT7.
