help with installing cpu

i'm trying to install a duron in a msi K7T turbo... i pulled the little arm thing to 90 degrees, put in the cpu, and then tried to bring the arm back down to it's original position. around 45 degrees the ah heck won't move. i haven't tried forcing it yet cause i don't want to break anything 😉 any help would be appreciated 🙂
 
Is the processor laying completely flat before you lower the arm thingy? A pin could be bent. Had same problem with my Duron 800
 
It takes quite some force to bring the little handle down. Be careful, though, coz you don't want to snap it off 😉
 
yeah it's laying flat before i lower the arm thingy... i'll try a little more force. thanks for the responses 🙂
