For my Latin class, we have to "translate" some verses into iambic pentameter. However, I honestly don't have the faintest clue on how to do this, all I know is there are long and short marks that alternate from word to word.

Here is my passage from Ovid:

Line 1: Nor is the anger of Job content with the sky, but his
Line 2: blue brother helps with the additional waves.
Line 3: He himself struck the ground with his trident, but it
Line 4: shook and revealed paths of waters with its motion.
Line 5: Wide rivers extend through the open plains.

Thanks if anyone has any ideas.

iamb = unaccented accented
pentameter = 5 metrical feet
iamb is a type of feet
therefore iambic pentamer is a5 unaccented accented feet
it's good to be in ap english lit right now :D

If I wanted the whole assignment done I would have asked, all I need is a little help to get started and I'll be fine. Your sarcasm was uncalled for.
