If there is anything wrong with this build let me know. I can spend a little more but dont want to go to much over this. I also need to add a SSD card for my operating system and a few programs could you guys give me advice on which one. I will be using this machine mainly for games like Fallout Las Vegas, Civ 5, Diablo 3.

The only thing I can recommend is to get the less expensive 1333 Ripjaws, you honestly will never notice the difference in games.

I would probably get a Samsung or LG instead of a Lite-On and I agree with David regarding the memory. Everything else looks good though.

As for SSD, how much were you looking to spend? At the <$200 price point, the Corsair Force 60GB, OCZ Agility 2 60GB, 90GB, and X25-M 80GB are all solid options.

thanks for the suggestions mfenn and david. I was thinking about the corsair force 40gb, is that too small? and does having sata 6.0 effect the ssd's at all?

No problem. :)

I would probably get the Agility 2 60GB over the Force 40GB since the Agility 2 is only a few bucks more AR.

SATA 6Gb/s can indeed benefit an SSD, but only if the SSD itself supports SATA 6Gb/s as well.

You're welcome, I think 40GB is on the small side (heck, I think 60GB is on the small side). I would also advise getting the 60GB OCZ Agility 2.

I think a 60GB SSD is sufficient, as long as you're not installing games on it (or too many, at least).

Eh? I thought Lite-On was a good brand for optical drives. What happened to them?

I just completed an almost identical build and couldn't be happier. I installed the Intel X25-M 80GB SSD in mine and I love it.

Only problem was the Gigabyte Video Card. I wound up RMA'ing it after I had a lot of problems in the first 2 weeks. Wound up with the EVGA version of the same chipset and the problems went away. Seems like a lot of people had problems with that card, even if you just look through the recent reviews on newegg. Maybe a bad batch or something...maybe not...hard to say.

Otherwise, a solid build. Almost exactly what I did last month. I like your style.
