Help with home network

Im trying to setup a home network and have a few questions. We both are running W2K Professional and the server is W2k Server. The server is using DHCP, the problem is I'm not quite sure how to set up my Linksys router to work with the server. I have a dynamic ip with my Isp and the router is DHCP.
Do I have to setup the router to use Static Ip's???? Any help is appreciated.

You can not have two DHCP servers on your network. Make the router the DHCP server. On both the win2k machines set them to obtain.

What if I have two network cards in each workstation??? Should that work?
Thanks for your previous reply.

Why two in a workstation? Maybe in the Server, but why on the WS?

Right now I have two network cards in my pc, One goes to the Switch next to the server the other goes directly to my router. I need to put the router on the switch so my freind can share the bandwith. Everything is working great right now, but i need to connect the router to the switch sometime soon.
