Help with Gravis Gamepad Pro....

When I plug it in WinXP auto-detects it and puts it into the Game Controllers box..... It is recognized as a GRavis Gamepad Pro, and I downladed the latest drivers, but it says "Not Connected".... I tried switching the gamepad mode from GRIP-I-II, and it still doesnt work...
Any ideas?

Is this the USB or Serial version?

Does the game pad work fine with out the drivers installed ?

What I mean is do the XP drivers work ok ?

Also check the readme file , directX 8.0a is required and I think XP only shipped with 8.0 .

without drivers installed only 2 of the 10 buttons work... and I installed gravis's official drivers...
It seems I got it working yesterday for a few hours, but then it seems after a restart the computer says its "not connected"....
Its autodetecting it on bootup, but it still reads "not connected"...
argh! and yeah I installed dx8.1

Do you see the Gamepad in your device manager at all , if you do is there a yellow/red icon next to it with an error code in the properties ?

its in device managers and it says its functioning properly... and no yellow or red circles or anything bad of that sort
