Help with Gmail Notifier

Gmail Notifier no longer connects to the server. I just a minute ago logged onto dial-up and Gmail Notifier worked fine. I came back to my cable modem and it no longer works. I've tried it off the router, on the router and it still doesn't work with my cable modem. I installed it on dial-up when I was on a trip so it may have to do with it.

I'm on Windows XP if that has anything to do with it.

Hmm, I am wondering if it may be an internet connections setting or something. It seems to work on dial-up but not on cable. I am also wondering if it thinks I'm trying to connect through dial-up.

They did release a new version yesterday... give a new download/install a try...

I already did, and I've already tried ten reinstalls of Gmail Notifier.

Could Road Runner have some blocking method? Or is it how my internet connection is set up in Network Connections?

Just tried it on dialup and it works again, I think it may have to do with my cable modem settings.
