OK, I have this new MB, it has the hardware RAID (level 0 and 1 support). I thought I would be able to make a bootable striped RAID. After several failures, I did some reading and consulted a couple of friends. They say that you can not make a bootable striped RAID, is this true? If so, what can I do to get the most out of this board? Maybe, a small high performance first drive with OS on it and all other programs on striped RAID? Also, relocate SWAP file to the RAID drive? Since I'm a standard PC user/gamer did I gain anything?

Doesn't anyone have thoughts on how to do it. I've been doing more reseach and have found documentation that says you can do it as long as it's a hardware raid. So, I still digging. Help would be nice.

Thanks

first off, you were informed false information, i'm currently booting off a RAID0 drive (two WD80GB drives--the 8meg ones) without a single hiccup.

What you need to do is build yoru array, then when you go to install windows, i think its f6 you have to hit right when loading (assuming 2000 or xp) and load up your raid drivers... other than that you have tset your bios to boot from either RAID or SCSI (depedns on the board)
