Hi,
I recently changed my old VIA KT 133 Mainboard, 192 MB PC 133 RAM, Athlon TBird 1400 MhZ with a new Gigabyte 7VT880 Motherboard with VIA Chipset KT880, 256 MB PC 3200 RAM, AMD Athlon XP 2500+ Barton CPU. I didn't change the VidCard, it's always a Radeon 9000 128 MB.
I tested this new configuration with Aquamark 3, and the results were stunning: the performances of my new system are *slower* than my old system. I think something's wrong in the AGP configuration (I uninstalled and reinstalled the VIA 4in1 drivers many times) and in some CPU settings. In fact in Aquamark 3 the CPU score is around 3000 points, although the same CPU usually scores around 6000 points. The Aquamark Triscore is 9000 points, with the old system it was around 11000...
I don't know if there are some incompatibilities with VCard and MoBo, or with CPU... or if my OS (W98 SE) does not support my new system...
PLEASE HELP
