Help with getting out of my cell phone plan

So I just signed up for a verizon plan(I extended my contract). The plan is good, but I don't like my phone too much. I have a nokia 6185i, the only cdma nokia phone with internet.

i saw this thread and wanted to switch over to cingular.

Now I know you can get out of contracts if you have a viable excuse, something that you can blame the company for. I was wondering if any of you bright intellectuals have any good ideas, I'd love to hear them. (The service sucks, No coverage, stuff like that, but little more imaginative)

where did you hear/read that? I have MCI/WORLDCOMM and haven't gotten a bill for 5 months... i want to use that to break the contract.... but where did you hear you can get out of contracts if you have a good excuse?

my friend did it with AT&T wireless, he complained, and they let him off without having to pay the buyout fee.

btw, mci wcom sucks. I had them before, I didn't recieve a bill ever. You should cancel ASAP, as they will begin to charge you late fees, and you will have a long drawn out battle with them no matter what.

in my area it is sprint coverage that sucks and verizon rox0rs. it does not seem like you will ahve a viable excuse to get out of the contract
