help with EA sports NHL 2001

I have a SY-K7V Dragon Plus m/b with a Athlon 1.3ghz cpu and 512mb pc2100 DDR, and an TNT2 Vanta PCI 16mb, 32bit video card. now I am having problems with my new nhl 2001 game locking up, I can't even make it to the start of a game, I notice I am also having the same problem with my Cabela's Grand Slam Hunting. Anyone else have this problem or a fix.

I also turned off all background task's and programs, still did'nt work.

why do you have such a crappy vid card compared to your kickass rig?

I am curently running Win98se.
And I just put this system together and working on getting a newer video card, this is left over from my p150mgz system.

Did you try updating the driver for the video card? that's the first thing I would do

Just checked and I have the newest driver.
