guys...i need your advice and help. my giggy e7205 came in today and i am having horrible stability problems. ive got a 2.8 in it and almost everytime i reboot...my video goes out, monitor light turns orangef, and i have to power down the monitor and the whole system to get it to post again. my memory is xms3200 in DDR 3&4 slots (dual mode). this is on a fresh install with SP1 XP, 4.30 chipset software, Radeon 9700Pro and Cat3.0's, and all other windows updates. i run 3dmark2001 flawlessly and no problems while in windows.

as soon as i reboot though, i start having problems. it kills on me, monitor goes black, and no post unless i shut down the whole system and do a cold boot.
can anyone help me???

So no problem with the PSU, then...

Since the system runs great once it gets going, it sounds like it's a board-level issue. Have you tried your RAM in slots 1 & 2 yet?

Also, I just noticed in your system listing that you own a ThermalTake Smart Fan II. That fan draws an insane amount of power for an 80mm fan... more than most high-output 120mm fans, in fact. If you're using it with your 8INXP, and have it drawing power from the motherboard, then I'd recommend switching it to draw directly from the power supply, before it blows out your fan header! :Q

no its drawing power from an adapter thats connected directly to my PSU. i found out the issue. for some reason my PCI/AGP has to be set at 34/68 or higher. even if i set it to 33/67 it will not recover from a restart.

so for some reason the majic numbers are 34/68. everything works fine now. hopefully they will release a fix for that soon. thanks for the help buddy.
