Help with Duron 700 - 600??

Just received my Duron 700 from Buy.com
Marking on it is AKAA0024DPBW-91775140404
How overclocable is it? ... Any expirience with this one ? Any advice ?

Found the table below but it confuses me. Did I get a Duron 600??!!??!!??!!

Just got my 700 from them, too. My # is AKAA0024fpaw
My L1 bridges are not cut (cool! less work) but there looks like there are some pins missing from the bottom of the cpu. Is this normal, or is mine one of those chips that do not have mulipler pins?
Someone PLEASE tell me this is not the case!

My L1 bridges are not cut,too ! Cool!..or not?
Does that make'em easier to overclock ?? Harder ??or the same..?
Should I really be worried about "..week24 800-850 1.85V (max.voltage)" ?
Trying to hit 950 with KT7-Raid.

Any info or advice greately appreciated.

I was thinking the same thing, I bought a Duron 650, but everything points that I have a 600. I have a week 27, but hey...I am at 900 now and the 600 Duron was 10.00 more than the 650 where I got it.My L1 bridges were not cut as well .I have had no trouble so far, just upping the voltage and watching the temps. To clarify for all of you, the speed is indicated on the die on the top line. It should read something like D600AST1B, where the D (for Duron) is followed by the rated speed.

What you shouldbe concerned about is the fact that your chip is a week 24. Those sort of suck for OCing. I mean they OC great, just not as good as we have come to expect from the Durons.

The L1 bridges being cut is a good thing. Saves you work and allows you to change the multiplier out of the box.

About the missing pins on the bottom:
Its normal to have some missing pins on the bottom. This prevents people from inserting the chip incorrectly and destroying it.

Mine have D700 marked, so it is true 700.
Aperently, week 24 sucks, I guess...

..now I am lost !?
Then, why are people closing them with pencils and various other things
risking a damage to the chip??

I understand that my confusion sound stupid to most of you,
but I would really appreciate any kind of input !

I think he made a typo. It is good for the L1 Bridges NOT to be cut. If they, are cut, then you need to connect them with a pencil or something in order to overclock. If your L1 Bridges are not cut, then you're ready to overclock right out of the box.

I was referring to..older-newer chips and overclocking success
Older chips had L1 open (hence pencil), some newer have them closed (?)..
My case..older chip(week24).. newer ?feature? (closed L1)
Does this make any difference ??

My bad. It was a typo. You want the L1 bridges connected.

Regarding whether a chip with the L1s connected or not being better, they *should* be the same. Only difference is that you don't need to worry about making a decent drawing job if they are already connected for you.

However, one thing is that if you do oget one that has the bridges connected, its not a completely good thing. The earlier chips that feature this usually do not OC as well as the later batches.
