Help with dual core trying to run Lineage 2

PLease help me, I just build a dual core gaming rid and I need help playing lineage 2, OK so I know I have to set affinty to one of the cores tried to do it mid game lanuch and it restarts my computer. I have tried programs to help lanuch it on one core still no help,.

PLease if you know where I can get a tested fix please link me, Also I know microsft has an update but hats for cool and quite only Iam not running it. Also I called AMD and they said they have no such drivers that can help me and that problems with dual core proc running games is not a widely know issues and that its my problem PLEASE HELP

no, that fix is not just for cool n quiet. i use it and it helped my couple game issues.

in one of those x2 threads theres a guy (compgeek or comp2nerd or something) who had that exact game issue.

iirc, he fixed it with the msft patch and the x2 drivers.

THank you for your time.

As indicated you need to:

1) Install the AMD X2 driver (see here)
2) Install the XP Dual Core Hotfix (see here for mirrors) and enable it with the registry key (see here for instructions)

Of course, this only applies if you have XP-32 (Pro/Home) with SP2. If you are running 2000 or XP-64, you're out of luck.
