ok I got dsl from pacbel , self install , works great . my prob:
dsl modem is usb, no ethernet card needed ,smal 5 port ethernet hub for neting both computers. 1 com[puter has 10 mgb . nic.
2nd has 3 port usb /nic in one , "dlink"
how to get dsl workn on both computers ?
ive seen routers but they have rj45 and not usb ...
do i need a usb spliter , is that possible to split the modem 2 ways in to both computers and can only use it on one computer at a time ? or what is a cheapp router that will work with usb dsl modem ?
thanks,
randy

Install another NIC in the computer that is web connected, run a crossover cable between the two, and use proxy software such as Sygate or the ICS built in to Windows. That's the cheapest and simplest solution.
