Hello guys,
I need some help with a custom build. I will be using it for high-end gaming and some some CS3 editing. I have about 1500-1600 australian dollars to spend. This is what I have so far. Please tell me if any bottleneck will be going on.

CPU:E8400 o/c'd (unsure....)
GPU: Gigabyte GTX260
M/B: EVGA 750i (unsure....)
RAM: 4gb 800mhz Corsair
CASE: Antec 900
PSU: Corsair HX-620w

I will be gaming on either a 22" or a 24" screen.
Please help me with some alternative cpu's and m/bs.
Im unsure if i am going to be running sli in the future. But most likely i wont be.
Thanks guys.

CPU: The E8400 is fine. No problems there and it should overclock nice as well.
GPU: Nice choice. But if you do not plan on using SLI, you should consider the HD4870 as well. As long as it is in your price range.
MB: Again, since you may never use SLI, I would go with a X48 or the P45 chipset. (P5E Deluxe X48) (P5Q PRO P45)
RAM: I would go with something like G.Skill brand. It seems to be highly recommended here on Anand for performance.
CASE: Good choice
PSU: Another good choice.

Which ever configuration you decide on. I would go with a 24" monitor as the system will more than likely have enough horsepower to push the pixels.

Thanks JPB
Ok well I have edited the configuration but I am still unsure with the m/b.

CPU:E8400 o/c'd
GPU: Gigabyte GTX260
M/B: EVGA 750i or P5Q PRO P45 (still unsure)
RAM: 4gb G.Skill
CASE: Antec 900
PSU: Corsair HX-620w

Also I definately going with a 24" screen.
Now with the HD4870 I have never been much of an ATI fan and ive been through all the forums which say 4870 is much better value for money and so on but ive just never been an ATI person.
What is the difference between P45 and X48 and what would be better for my system?
Thanks Again

Ok thanks
The reason I choose the Nvidia m/b is because of the GTX260.
What m/b would you recommend to fit in with my system?

The P45 and X48 are very similar but the X48 includes 2 PCI-Express x16 slots to support a crossfire configuration. You'd do fine with the P45 seeing as you're opting (wisely) for a single card solution. The 4870 is indeed the best value for money at the moment.

Ahh I see now.
Thanks that just made it a whole lot clearer.
Now all I need to find is a decent P45 board...
Any ideas?

Whats the difference between the DS3L and DS4P?
At a computer shop near me there is only 20 dollars difference.
