I have 400 mhz, 192 mb ram, opti plug and play soundcard. If I use winamp, the music sounds crystal clear. But if I use the Atomix program or any other mixing program for that matter or Eastside Hockey Manager, I hear a crackling noise and the music is kind of choppy. I purchased memory thinking that was the problem, but it wasn't. Any ideas what the problem could be? I was thinking soundcard but why would winamp be ok and other games? Thanks in advance for your help. If it is the soundcard, could you recommend any cheaper soundcards that would do the trick, thanks.
