HELP WITH COUNTER-STRIKE

I installed Win2000 and now I'm getting 12-15fps and no sound....anyone know how to fix this? I installed the win2000 drivers for my vid/aud cards....please help.

I have an elsa gladiac GF2 32mb gts and an Aureal SQ2500.

Is the video mode set to OpenGL? Have you installed the VIA 4-in-1s? VIA/Win2k compatibility reg patch?

Are your sound card drivers installed and properly working?

I installed the win2k driver my video card and yes it is open gl....what is 4in1? and my sound works for everything else

The VIA 4-in-1s are important in Win2k for stability and performance. Did the volume in CS somehow get turned down or off? Is A3D or EAX enabled in CS? If so, disable them.

Yep, I would install those 4in1s, the latest version. A friend of mine with an Athlon rig had the same problem; he installed the 4in1s and it works great now.

check ur max fps also, i think its FPSmax or maxfps in consol.

A quick question if you don't mind, does the K7M need via 4 in 1 drivers as well (it was included in the driver cd)?

after loading the 4in1 I get 28-30fps which is better than the 12-15fps but I still want it to go to 70-90fps like it was with Win98

whats vsync.....and i know this should go in hardware...but off topic can be anything right?
