Bought some parts trying to get this computer going. This is my problem? Have an old asus motherboard. Have two old hard drives (2,1gb quantum and a 120mb fuji) 3.25 floppy.Every thing works up to this point. However, I can't get my system to recognize a
cd rom when I add it to the system. I don't have a driver for the cd rom. Hopped the win 98 disc would load the driver but of course I cant use the dick because the cd rom wont work. These hard drives are old could this be the problem? How would you configure this system regaurding master and slave? These older hard drives seem to have different labels on the jumper settings. Any help would be appreciated
thanks

My god I just read my previous message and yes my typing is bad. I'm trying to get my system to recognize a cd rom haven't added the burner yet. These older hard drives have different settings ie, cs ds sp which one means master and slave.Im plugging my cd rom into the video card, maybe that is the problem. Still having difficulty.
