I just got my rig back from the shop and I have a question regarding the speed controls. Is there anyway to adjust the speed on my new cooler without using the Fanmate2?? Is the any way to get Speedfan to work to adjust the Cpu Cooler speeds? I saw somewhere that using Q-fan will work on my Asus P5B, can't remember where I saw it though. Anybody have some suggestions?? And lastly, How long till the Cooler will reach maximum cooling efficiency? I heard that it can take up to 60 hours for the Zalmon Thermal grease to set properly to get the best contact. Anybody know the real answer to this? Thanx

Just plug the 3-pin into the CPU fan header on the mobo directly without the fan mate connected. If yours is a 4-pin header it will still plug in, but you'll have to set the fan control to analog in the bios (hopefully it supports that) instead of PWM.

I had my CNPS9500 plugged into my CPU fan header when I had it and Q-fan controlled the fan speed.
