I don't know much about video cards. I'm planning to build a system with a Thunderbird Processor, 128-256MB RAM, and an Abit KT7 Motherboard.

I'm not much of a gamer. I do web design and some graphics work. I also would like to be able to watch full-screen DVD movies. I'll probably have a 19 inch monitor.

What video card would you suggest?

Thanks,

Adam

Since you are not much of a gamer and you want a lot of features, you should get an ATI Radeon or Matrox G400.

ATI are known for their DVD quality and Matrox are known for their image quality.

I'll agree. Grab yourself a Matrox or an ATi. I'd probably lean toward the Matrox for your needs. Good luck.

The Matrox looks good, especially the dual-head model.

Are there certain online vendors that you recommend?

You might also want to consider a Radeon 32mb DDR, or even SDR. They have 2D quality that is up there with matrox, but better 3D gaming and DVD playback.
