2. What YOUR budget is. under $1600

Maybe Auto Overclocking but experiment on it later on

That's a great build, but stay away from the EVGA SuperNOVA series. EVGA does a lot of things well. Power supplies is not one of them. Go for something like this incredible Seasonic 660W Platinum for $90AR right now (code on site expires today): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817151121

Also, just be aware that a GTX680 is a bit overpriced for the performance it provides, versus an HD7970. It's a great card, however, and EVGA backs its products well.

One last note - I'm seeing that Patriot Viper kit for $77 right now on Newegg. With RAM prices as high as they are, I can't say that's a terrible deal, but you can get 2x8GB DDR3-1866 for $107 - like this G.Skill kit with code EMCXSXS39: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-20231627-L05C

Or drop down to DDR3-1600 for a lot less.

Termie: The last time I checked, that Viper kit is under $50 at Amazon, so maybe it's not such a bad purchase?

I agree with Termie. Your build looks good for the most part though I would switch the PSU to the Seasonic that Termie recommended and switch to a Radeon 7970 or 7970Ghz Edition instead of the GTX680 simply because the GTX680 isn't really worth the price it sells for.

Wow, that's a good deal. Given that it's the exact same kit I linked to but in red, it sure won't hold at that price.

Edit: Wait, what? It just dropped to $48 in the past 5 minutes. I'd jump on that fast!

Now it's at "Usually ships in 1-3 weeks," which is effectively backorder.

CPU: Good
HSF: Good
Mobo: OK, but too expensive for what it is. The Z77 Pro4-M has what you need for less.
RAM: Good at $48
HDD : Good
SSD : Good
GPU: Overpriced relative to the performance, get a GTX 670 overclock it to the same performance as a GTX 680.
Case: Good
PSU: As has been mentioned
ODD : Good
OS: Good

You got a VERY good deal on that RAM, thanks to Sleepingforest.

The motherboard has built in sound. You only need a sound card if you are an audiophile and want very high quality sound.
