help with boot manager

toyota

Lifer
I just installed full version of Windows 7 but when I start up it still shows two Windows 7 choices. I previously had Vista and at one time had a seperate partition for Windows 7 RC. before I ever installed Windows 7 I had already deleted that Windows 7 RC partition and confirmed it was gone from within Vista though. so why is it still showing up on the boot manager and how do I delete it?

You didn't format so 7 is detecting your previous installation. You can either re-install and do a format this time to clean the drive,(always recommended) or you can manually remove the option from the boot config file. This will however leave those unneeded files behind.

thanks. I thought that when installing Windows 7 using custom(advanced) selection that it actually reformatted the drive as part of the process.
