While I was playing a game today I got the blue screen of death with this:
Stop: 0x00000050 Page Fault In Non Paged Area - win32k.sys
I figured it wasn't a big deal and rebooted, when Windows finally came up I got another blue screen with this:
Stop: 0x00000A5 ACPI BIOS is not fuly compliant with ACPI specs.
I rebooted again this time checking the temps and it was pretty high at 50C compared to what it usually is at idle 35C. Also for some reason the BIOS only showed 768MB of RAM, the system has 1GB. I let it cool for a few hours and then removed the case and checked all the fans. All the fans were working fine so I rebooted back into Windows. After about 5 mins of being in Windows I got the same Stop error only this time intead of it being with win2k.sys it was for Norton AntiVirus.
I should prolly give the system specs eh?
AMD 1600+
512MB Corsair RAM
2-256MB Crucial RAM
Shuttle AK31 Motherboard
ATI 9500PRO
WD 80MB-8MB Cache HD
Win2kPro w/SP3 and all other updates
DX9
I figured maybe the motherboard was acting up and since I have another Shuttle AK31 motherboard I swapped them. Same results. I don't know if the power supply could cause this or not, but I removed power to the 2 CD-ROMs, floppy and case fan and removed both Crucial RAM sticks (leaving the 1 Corsair) but that didn't have any effect (not sure it would though). I did defrag the HD about a week ago, could this have caused it? I am out of ideas here, the MS Knowledge database didn't help much and I'm not sure what else could cause this, any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated
