Help with Audio/Video on Video Conference

I recently got a Creative Webcam and have been trying to communicate with one of my relatives. He can see and hear me but I can only see him. We are using MSN 6.2 with no routers or firewalls...he is on a cable modem and I am on DSL...any ideas?
