Help with any of these browsers pls

So, here's what I'd like to have:

- a browser that won't hang on Adobe Flash
- is capable of opening Google.com as an opening page without any fringe stuff

Details:

Mozilla FireFox 13.0.1:
+ can open a preset page no problem (Google.com in my case) even if I open several instances of the browser
- the latest AdobeFlash plugin keeps hanging, older plugins will not play certain content on some pages (no rotating symbol in the middle of videos, explained below)

Internet Explorer 9

- AdobeFlash never ever hangs, super stable, but YouTube videos will only play with a small loading icon rotating in the middle of videos (it's clearly not a caching issue as most of the time I have several minutes or whole videos loaded yet the symbol keeps rotating in the freaking middle of videos)


Chrome 20.0.1
- will load Google.com when I start the first instance but all further instances will load some crappy app-manager (mail icon, search icon etc.) can't make it load Google.com in all opened instances
+ AdobeFlash videos never hang, super stable, no rotating symbol during playback


Any help would be appreciated with any of the issues detailed above.

I don't know about chrome.but i have firefox and works fine.did you go in google chrome tools to see if you can disable some add ons.

I just tried this in Chrome 20 and I see what you mean. That's an odd bug. It's also annoying that I have to select the window of a new instance before I can begin typing. You could try the "New Tab Redirect!" extension even though an extension probably isn't the ideal fix.

I also wish flash would work better in FireFox. I've had issues with plugin container crashing and it seems the newer the version of flash and firefox the slower viewing youtube becomes.

I would try portable versions of Opera and SRWare Iron and see if u like either of those.
(Iron is based on chrome so it may have the same issues u didn't like in chrome)

I just wish they would fix firefox as it has been my default browser forever and I hate change.

Firefox has a new version - 14.01 I believe - so I would update and then see if you have the same problem. Make sure your Adobe is up to date too.

Very easy fix, though it can get irritating. Move the progress slider and it will disappear.

Firefox has a new version - 14.01 I believe - so I would update and then see if you have the same problem. Make sure your Adobe is up to date too.

I have FireFox 14.0.1 and it is just as bad with flash based sites like youtube as the previous versions.

I'm not sure if it is firefox's fault or flash however.
I switched back to flash 10 for testing and it is smooth as butter. Downside I guess is older versions of flash have more security risk and possible compatibility issues if using really old versions.

I wonder if you used the Flashblock extention for Firefox if it would help? It blocks all flash and instead leaves a Play button so if you want to play the flash you can or leave it blocked if you don't. Might give you some control over your flash and stop any conflicts within itself.

I would try this, im using firefox and flashblock and have zero issues playing flash files on youtube or whatever website i just have to click the play button that flashblock adds.

I have tried Flash 10 but then some videos would not play. Flashbock would not be a really good solution to this problem since the issue is that the Flash player freezes sometimes. It would prolly result in less freeze-ups as flash videos would not start automatically but what about the videos that I'd like to watch?

Otherwise Flashblock sounds useful.

64 bit Windows 7 btw, AFAIK the browser is 32 bit
