Help with an old-school computer

hey all, i have an old packard bell, and my friend wanted me to upgrade it for him.. lol. it is a multimedia s605, and he wants more ram added and a bigger hard drive.. i am having problems putting them in.
i have tried to install windows me, 98, and use the restore disks, and it just keeps freezing, what is going on.. can someone help me. it seems like theyre support for old computers is gone.
what i have to add is 128 mb ram
and a 20 gb hard drive (going to do drive overlay, unless i can find a bios update.
this is an s605 packard bell
233 mmx
24 mb ram
16x cd-rom

What have you done so far?
Do you have any documentation?
Doing a general search on the WEB, it looks like the system will only take 32MB DIMMs.
This is gonna take some seriuos research, good luck.

i have a p233mmx too... i thought it would be alright for my dorm room for surfing and office works... but...
AFTER I STARTED PLAYING COUNTER STRIKE I WANT AN ATHLON 1800XP!!!
so just let him play it and let him get addicted and then buy a new computer like me 😀

You can replace 24MB ram with 4 sticks of 32MB SIMM max (128MB)
HDD should be upgraded, and CD-ROM, too (if needed)
