Help with a8n sli deluxe and antec sonata

I am in the middle of putting this together. the mobo has a 24 pin power connector and a 4 pin. The sonata power supply has a 20 pin power connector and a 4 pin.

The 20 pin will fit into the 24 spot and the 4 pin cable will only fit into the 4 pin spot. Do I need an adapter to make the 20 pin a 24 pin?

You can use the 20-pin in the motherboards 24-pin connector. Orientation is tight into the 24-pin connector at the top, leaving the 4 empty pins open at the bottom. The square 4-pin 12v AUX connector is for the processor, and needs to go there. It won't hurt to plug a molex into the EZ connector just above the top PCI-E graphics port too.

I will only be using 1 PCIe card so I wasn't planning on doing the molex. Is there any advantage of getting a 20-24 adapter?
