Help With A7V Overclocking?

If my T-Bird is unlocked, doesnt the POST screen say the settings, such as 8X100mhz or something? because i dont see that...

and where do i adjust my clock multiplier?

I remember seeing something in the BIOS about that. Which BIOS version are you using? You can tell when you first boot up.

Yea, there's something in the BIOS about multiplier. Dig around in there. I think it is set on automatic by default. You can change it to manual. The jumpers on the motherboard are also set on jumperless by default. If you take a look at your manual on page 22 and 23, you can set the multiplier by changing around the jumpers. Hope this helps.

I have the A7V and its not that great of an overclocker

The early board revisions 1.01 - 1.03 do not have multiplier adjustments in the BIOS. The later 1.04 and 1.05 do.

To find out what revision you have look between PCI slots 4 and 5.

With the early board revisions the multiplier can only be adjusted in jumper mode with dipswitches for the multiplier and bus, and jumper block for voltage.

Pay's right the A7V sux as an OC'er at least the Ver. I have (102) .I'm running a 1 gig TB and the best I can get out of it is 1184 anything over that and its not very stable. I just ordered a A7V133 Rev 105 cuz I wanna OC to the max. Got me a DD Maze 2 waterblock .........gonna make this baby boil.

I have the 1.02.... so it doesnt have an adjustment through the BIOS? I thought that was the whole point of the "jumperfree" thing....🙁

You can adjust the front side bus (frequency) and voltages in the BIOS in jumperfree.

If you want to change the multiplier you need to switch to jumpermode and you can adjust everything with the dipswitches.
