An 80+ year old friend of mine is looking for a new turntable for her kitchen, and has asked me to find her one. If she was looking for a good digital setup or component system, I could help, but good vinyl equipment is a bit beyond my area of expertise, so what she's looking for . . .
Table-top combo unit - No preamp, component cabinet system stuff. She wouldn't understand it.
Has to play records, cassettes, and CDs. (she's 80. What can I say?)
Enough sound for a 20' x 12' flat ceiling room
She has said price doesn't matter, but I expect she's looking in the $200 - $400 range. She was looking at this Crowsley unit. http://www.jcpenney.com/record-play...earchResults&searchTerm=crowsley&N=4294288361
Please help. Don't want to let this lady down.
