I should have the rest of the parts in today so I will start building it tonight. With the parts listed below is there a good starting point. I am new to overclocking and nervous. any input would be great. Also should I put both HD's in the same bay? or would that generate to much heat.

Soyo kt400 ultra plat.
xp 2500
volcano 7

Performance Plus1080 SOHO File Server w/430w
ati 8500 all in wonder 128ddr
2- 120g HD
512 corsair xms 3500

I would never put one hard drive on top of another, if that is what you mean. Its not because of heat, its because of the RPM's. You want your HDD's to be firmly planted in your case, vibrations could destroy the bearings inside the HDD controlling the Read and write heads. Not to mention throw off the platters during a write session.
