1. ill be using this build for 90% gaming and 10% web surfing.

2. right now im only looking at CPU/MOBO/HDD(ssd) and GPU purchases specifically(check #9 why)

3. USA, the rest ill be buying it in philippines unless something comes up that will save me more $$$.

4. just intel and nvidia (i knw thisll cost me)

5. new build so everything is new

6. ive looked around and i have a couple of choices ive narrowed down to

7. the only experience in overclocking i have is with my laptop with setfsb and sapphire trixx. this will be my very first desktop build so if the same applies to it then why not.

8. i honestly have no idea about gaming in which reso. though im plannung to game on a 20+ inch monitor.

9. heres where it gets complicated. ill be staying here in the US only until the end of NOV. so right now im just looking around for stuff thats on sale and a good buy. thing is, im afraid that if i buy something now itll be cheaper 2 months down the road or worse something better comes out. so help me out gurus.tnx in advance

#9 always happens, nothing you can do about it.
i knw that but i was thinking of the time between now until end of nov.

Whats your price range? we sorta need an exactish number

since i only need CPU/MOBO/HDD(ssd) and GPU. i cant really give u a price range for the build. im just looking around for the cheapest buy for these parts that i need. those cpu/mobo, cpu/ram combos could make me save too.

Remember that some parts may be DOA or die in the first month, so you need to build the PC at least a month early so that you have time to go through the RMA process if you need to.

My EVGA GTX 560 ti seemed fine when I first installed it, but died with no warning after a couple of weeks of use.

ugh..good thing u mentioned that but i have no way of testing the parts that im about to get since its only bits and pieces of the whole build..tnx for the input

tnx for the help..but the GPU link u gave me is the HDD one.
also, i found a cpu/mobo combo thats a lil cheaper than what u provided me.can u check it out and tell me what the difference is? tnx

The board that T_Yamamoto posted is Z68 whereas yours is P67. Z68 is a newer chipset with more features. For the price, I wouldn't get either of those though.

Even if you don't have a budget for the whole build, it helps to know what you were looking to spend for the parts that you will be purchasing. Our recommendations would be very different if you say $300 as opposed to $1000.
