I used to listen to this band all the time, and I owned their CD. I cannot at all remember their name(drug days) and I can't find a nice archive of active band news during this time period. They were considered alternative, and were played on the local alternative station. They were not a big time act, but they were not minuscule either. I know I couldn't possibly be more vague, but I'm hoping someone knows of some type of archive where I could begin to search. They may have had one "hit" song.

Obligatory "use Google" response to get that out of the way

I also would try Amazon, but perhaps you could call some friends or even the station?

listen to alternative radio now. they usually stick with material for a long time so you have a good chance of hearing it again.

Orgy?

*shrug* Try to think of some lyrics, put them in quotes in a google search, easy find.

They weren't a one hit wonder, but only one or two of their songs got play. For the damn life of me I cannot remember any lyrics at all. Not even a snippet! I just need to be able to peruse active artists or records relisted in a genre by a specific year. Something like that has to exist, right? I have a basic mind gap during 1999-2000, so I can't really say anything about that time period. I remember this the other day and it keeps coming back to me, but so vaguely that it just drives me nuts.

Do you know if they were on a big label?

It would be nice if there was a site similar to IMDB for music, but CDDB sucks. My guess is 7Mary3.

The billboard charts for that time period would be a good place to look, I don't think you can access their archives for free though.

Nine days isn't it I don't think. I'm starting to remember stars/shooting stars.

I'm guessing you're not talking about Lone Star, because that would be country

Although they did play that crap on alternative stations for some reason.

In a song they were talking about shooting stars. This was not a big name band, and I don't see them on any charts. I really don't think they EVER made it nationally or if they did it was just with alternative stations.

I'm resigned to the fact that I'll never figure it out because of such vague information on my part. I can only hope to somehow grab a clue one day just randomly walking down the street. Fvck me. :(

Ok, I remember the cd had a clayish orange background with blue looking text.

She thinks she's on the train to mars, she's out back counting stars?

I don't know who sung that but I remember the line.
