Hi,

I was planning on buying a 2500/2600 mobile for my pc and heard a lot about the amount of OCing one could do depending upon the steppings. Naturally, I sought to get a mobile with the "best stepping" but then i ran into trouble as not many retailers display them. I heard the IQYHA steppings the best for OCing but the only thing often reailers publish is the mfr.part.no such as AXMG2600FQQ4C . Is there any way of working out from this which stepping it belongs to??

Thanks for any replies

Jacko

I got my 2600+ mobile from ExcaliberPC.com, or something similar. They were guaranteeing the stepping codes.

I try to hunt up a link and post back.

EDIT: HERE'S the link. May not be helpful, I couldn't find any for sale at their site though :(

2cd EDIT: I don't think the AXMG2600FQQ4C is gonna be much help. HERE'S an AMD CPU chart. Those #s are from the first part of the stepping code and are the same for all cpu's. Its the latter part of the stepping code info (ex. IQYHA) that you want.
