ok I'm connecting to the router just fine, however I am not connecting to the internet. The exact message I'm getting from linksys software is "you are connected to the access point, but the internet cannot be found."

I have checked all the drivers etc, etc, they are up to date. I've tried just about everything I could find via google to no avail.

I have a winxp machine wired to the router that's working just fine.

Any ideas? especially if you've encountered this problem.

Ping the router.
If that succeeds:
ping 216.109.118.76
If that fails:
traceroute to 216.109.118.76

If that fails, check your DNS settings. 😛
