HELP!!! Wireless Internet - Can you network it (newbie question)

I am going to try Verizon wireless and looking to network it into our house to share the connection. I have everything prewired already to a central closet.

Is this easy to do?? I will have the network card in a desktop computer and connect it to a wired/wireless G router if I can....

this has to be a joke. Have you any idea how slow VZW connections are ? I use it on a Treo all the time.
