Title says it all, i needed to reinstall WinXP Pro because some bad drivers would cause it to reboot instantly when it loaded the OS.

It POST fine, but when it goes to load WinXP, it reboots instantly. Now after a format and fresh install it still continues. It can't boot to finish the setup process.

I don't know what to do. Should i call up Microsoft? Or is there something i can try. It's the 1st rig in sig.

can you confirm this rig was working ok at one point in time & no bios settings have been changed?

yeah, it sounds like it could be memory or something... set everything as close to defaults as possible, especially memory, and try booting in safe mode.

nm safe mode since youre still doing setup and all

I don't know if your overclocking your CPU but when I had my AMD Athlon XP 2400+ at 2.6GHz it would constantly reboot after Windows XP Pro loaded up. Sorry, this is the only thing that caused what you are experiencing.
