help - Windows doesn't recognise Floppy drive, has problem w/ it.

Windows can see the floppy drive, but everytime I put a disk in the drive, I am prompted with "Please insert disk". The light on the floppy drive says on all the time, which it has never done. What could be the problem?

if the floppy light is on all the time then your floppy cable is backwards

yes, disconnect the floppy cable at the drive end, turn it 180 degrees & reconnect!
