HELP! Window XP PRO and CDDB

I just upgraded from Windows 2000 PRO to Windows XP PRO. Now when I try to use the CDDB of my cd ripping software I get error messages. One says I have an invalid pointer and the other says there is a problem opening a local port.

Is there a firewall built into Windows XP that I can adjust?

Both programs are XP compatible.

I am using Cd n Go and musicmatch jukebox. I have checked their websites and could not find any info on this.

So far its the only thing I can find that I don't like about XP.
